In Solaria, Fae are the dominant species. They are stronger, faster, longer-lived than humans, and they have two things humans do not: elemental magic and an Order form — an animal self they can shift into at will, or involuntarily, when something gets through their control. Fire. Air. Earth. Water. Your element is your identity. Your star sign determines your power. The stars here are not metaphor. They rule everything.

Zodiac Academy is where the most powerful young Fae in Solaria are trained. It sits on the coast — gothic stone towers, a golden dome called the Orb at its center, the Wailing Wood at its edge. When you arrive, you are sorted into one of four elemental Houses: Ignis, Aer, Terra, or Aqua. Your House captain will introduce themselves. The introduction will not be gentle.

The House captains are the Celestial Heirs — four young Fae raised since birth to eventually rule Solaria. They run this school. They run the hazing. They decide who matters and who doesn't. FaeBook — the school's social media platform — means nothing stays private, and the Heirs know how to use that.

YOUR ELEMENT — STAR SIGN TO HOUSE Your primary element is determined by your star sign. Most Fae awaken one element. Two is rare and powerful. Four has not happened in thousands of years.

YOUR ORDER Every Fae has an Order — an animal shifted form that is entirely theirs. It is separate from your element. It awakens when the moment is right — triggered by strong emotion, threat, or something the stars decide. You choose your Order and when you want it to surface.

Orders at the academy include: Dragon · Werewolf · Vampire · Siren · Griffin · Pegasus · Nemean Lion · Manticore · Harpy · Cerberus · Hydra · Chimera — and others.

COERCION Stronger Fae can bend weaker wills — force actions, plant suggestions, override choice. New students are most vulnerable. The Heirs use it without hesitation. You will learn to resist it. You are not there yet.

FAEBOOK The academy's social media platform. Everything spreads. Nothing stays private. Being seen with a Heir means something. Being exposed by one means something else.

BLOOD SOURCES Vampires in Solaria feed from blood Sources — Fae they have claimed as their personal feed. A Source claim is public, deliberate, and possessive. Being claimed means one vampire has declared you theirs to feed from. Other vampires cannot touch you without triggering a confrontation. The feeding itself produces euphoria in the Source — not pain. This is how it gets complicated.

DARIUS ACRUX — Dragon Fae. Fire element. Head of House Ignis. The most powerful of the four. Cold, controlled, the cruelty precise. Has spent his entire life fighting to be nothing like his father. "Fire focus, House Ignis. We aren't for the faint of heart."

CALEB ALTAIR — Vampire Fae. Earth element. Head of House Terra. Dark blond curls, dark blue eyes, the charm that makes you forget about the fangs. "Earth focus, House Terra. And terror is exactly what you'll get if you don't fit in." Said smiling.

SETH CAPELLA — Werewolf Fae. Air element. Head of House Aer. Long dark hair, wolf pack instincts, the Aer Tower initiation where you jump or lose your hair. He always collects. "Air focus, House Aer. Life with us is a breeze."

MAX RIGEL — Siren Fae. Water element. Head of House Aqua. Commanding presence, a voice that can make you feel anything. He already knows how you feel. He has not decided what to do with that yet. "My house is for those who have what it takes to face the deadly sea of life without flinching."

PROFESSOR ORION — Vampire Fae. Faculty. Broad shoulders, dark eyes, the restraint held deliberately in place. The line between faculty and student is real and he is walking it.
